Meeting- 12/15/09

Hi everybody!

Hope you are all having a marvelous, relaxing winter break! The officers would really like to thank each and everyone of you who went caroling Sunday at the Methodist Hospital! We hope it lifted your Christmas spirits to bring joy to others.

We also want to let you know that we are preparing to send in our Yoplait lids to the Susan G. Komen Foundation! Also, club shirts will be coming in January 2010! Listen out for information on those at the next meeting!

Again, have a safe winter break everyone! Eat lots of good food, sleep up those hours you were lacking, and make sure to get in some exercise! Have a great holiday season and have a great New Years! See you all back at school on January 4!

2010, here we come!

Meeting- 12/8/09

Hi club members!

This month is skin cancer awareness month! We started off the meeting with Elaine T. giving us a brief presentation about the cancer and ways to prevent it. Remember to always use sunblock with SPF 15 or higher when you do outdoor activities!

This Saturday is the Borders Gift Wrapping Event! Our club president, Melody, has e-mailed everyone to remind them about their shift. Please be on time, and have fun! Have fun wrapping and asking for donations. All the money we raise will be donated to the American Cancer Society!

See you next Tuesday for the final meeting of 2009!

Stay warm!
Jenny

Meeting- 12/1/09

Happy December everyone!

Notes:
• Because we have wait for ASB to let us withdraw our club money, there will be a slight delay in club t-shirts. Instead of coming early December, they might come later on this month or even early January. We're really sorry about that, but keep listening out for those as we will update you frequently!

• On Saturday, 12/12/09 we are going to have a Borders Gift Wrapping event! You can sign up for whichever shift you would like. The times range from early in the morning until 9 PM when the mall closes. If you are interested, but have not signed up, feel free to sign up at the next meeting or e-mail us at hopecancurecancer@gmail.com with your name and the time you are available. (ie. Jenny: 4 PM-6PM). During the event, we will be asking for donations, so that we can donate this money to the American Cancer Society!

Guest Speaker
• Last spring, HCCC had its first (and very successful) comedy show in our very own Little Theater! At this week's meeting, the rep from the American Cancer Society came to get us all hyped for the 2010 show! There were some really great and well-known (and cute! =P) comedians last year!! Next year, we are planning to have this show in April, and we want everyone to participate in selling tickets! Not only will you have a great night but you will be doing a great deed as all the money goes to the Cancer Society. So, get excited for that!

As usual, thanks for coming to this week's meeting everyone! See you next week!

(I put a picture of one of last year's comedians-HILARIOUS!)
